NAKED FIGLEAF PRESS is an independent press dedicated to the writers, illustrators and creative voices of the Isle of Wight. We publish bold, original work across fiction, poetry, memoir and non-fiction, bringing established writers together with new and emerging voices.
At the heart of the Press is THE FIGLET, our biannual literary journal and a lively showcase for the extraordinary range of writing and illustration being produced across the Island. Through our books, events and creative collaborations, we create opportunities for Island writers and artists to get their work into print, reach new audiences and become part of a growing literary community.
FIGMENTUM BOOKS takes Naked Figleaf beyond the Island, publishing distinctive voices and original work from further afield. We are drawn to writing with something to say—fiction, poetry, memoir, non-fiction and work that crosses genres, challenges conventions or approaches familiar subjects from unexpected directions.
Independent, curious and open to possibility, Figmentum is a home for writers and projects that might not fit neatly into the usual publishing boxes. Creativity without borders, in every sense.
